Emergency Couple is one of the dramas on my Summer To-Watch list that I am excited for the most. I’ve heard many good things about it from my friends and it sure does have one of the rare fast-paced, fun start. It is actually my favourite from my summer watch list so far. (FYI, Surplus Princess is not on my summer watch list) From the start, there were a lot of happenings and we get to see how the couple goes from a typical couple madly in love to how they separated in quite an extreme way.
Choi Jin hyuk was brilliant in the Gu Family Book so I was really anticipating his role here since he is the main character. His character Chang Min was struggling a lot with his work when he got married to Jin Hee and I can kinda understand why he takes it out on her since I do that to my mum sometimes. The problem I think is that he doesn’t talk to Jin Hee about his hardships at all and this leads to him exploding at every single tiny thing going on at home. I mean I’m pretty sure Jin Hee would understand him if he even talks about it but I guess it’s a drama we’re talking about so that is probably the last thing you’ll see.
Oh Jin hee was the common house wife that stays at home except that she can’t cook or take care of the house. I don’t blame her because come on, we’re in the 21st century! I didn’t think she should be looked down on~ I admit I didn’t like her at first but that was because I thought she was really lazy and not ambitious but I saw how much she studied so I guess she was really desperate to become an intern. But the last scene actually made me realize how much she wanted to be recognized as an idiot-it is total common sense that anyone who is in touch with the defibrillator would get shocked! I wanted to faint along with Chang Min from her stupidity!
Despite their shortcomings, I really enjoy watching the characters because they are so realistic. I can’t wait to see them grow with each others help and hopefully by the end of the drama, the two would no longer be incompetent doctors because I have enough of them from Medical Top Team and Doctor Stranger lately!
For some reason, I’m already shipping Jin Hee and Cheon Soo. This is not good because we all know for sure who Jin Hee is going to end up with. Okay, I guess there is a reason~ Although I love the characters of Jin Hee and Chang Min, I don’t really feel their chemistry yet. Seriously, are they like five? Breaking each other’s stuff when they’re arguing~
Thank you for reading and see you soon^^ I’m really excited for upcoming episodes! There are just so many dramas to watch!

This is the type of drama I’m looking for all summer and now that I have to go to school tomorrow you let me find you? I’m speechless:( This drama combines everything I am looking for in a romantic comedy and slaps it in my face with a wave of tsunami! I’m sorry but My Secret Hotel is out and Surplus Princess is totally in. Perhaps that wouldn’t be fair for My Secret Hotel since the genre is different but for now I’m seriously amazed at how wonderful this drama starts out. Just please don’t let me down like *cough*…It’s Okay, It’s Love….*cough*…..
Ha Ni is like the replica of Ariel from The Little Mermaid with her interest in humans except that she knows more about the humans and their devices such as smartphone. This drama is one that I would totally love to live in and I think the recent dramas lack that kind of feel. Imagine a mermaid that is your drama buddy, I would kill for a friend like that! Then she would also be really understanding of our level of fangirling because hey she imagined Shi Kyung’s butts as an apple and expressed that she’d want to eat them, I don’t think we can fangirl worse than that!
Oh, and did I mention how opportunistic she is? Best. Mermaid. Ever!
Sometimes I hate the comics effect since it could be rather unrealistic but it’s a drama about mermaids so I don’t particularly care and in fact I think it’s best that it’s here because it really lightens the mood of the drama! Oh and when Hyun Myung started his job hunting on the computer, I cracked up so much because of the music that accompanies it. It makes it the more comical and dramatic! Speaking of music, I can’t not speak of the Attack on Titan theme song that played! It was awesome, whoever decided to put that in, I like you.*wink*
So far I can’t really tell who the mermaid is going to end up with. I presume it’s Shi Kyung since he’s the male that Han NI interacted with the most. I saw that preview for the next episode and it seems that Hyun Myung will somehow be involved with her so I’m not sure~ Anyway, I don’t really have a ship yet because I love Han Ni just the way she is now!
Bonus: I love how Han Ni’s sister became an alcoholic AFTER she went to study in Russia. And that wine bottle decoration on her head is a bonus!
I know the next two episodes are out but since I’ll be dying for the latest episodes, I have decided to wait until the next week to watch the next episode. Tell me in the comments below what you think of the drama but make sure not to spoil it! Thank you for reading and I’ll see you soon^^

For some reason, after I finished Hotel King I began to take interest in dramas about hotel so I decided to watch this out of the ones that were coming out. And I mean Tal Tal is in there, enough said. I’m glad that the two episodes are interesting enough to keep me going because for some reason the drama that I was watching before this didn’t do well for me. I love the whole idea of a murder in a hotel and during a wedding on top of that makes it the more eye-catching. I seriously hope it wouldn’t take the remaining 14 episodes to solve the case because that would definitely make it dragged out and what’s worse than a solid start but a crappy middle (and end) in dramaland!
Usually the first two episodes would have all the main character’s background explained but that is not the case here. All we know about is the relationship between Sang Hyo and Hae Young and that’s not enough for me! I’m so damn curious about everyone especially Sung Gyeom who has a darker side than what he appears to be. I wish we know more of the characters but I do have to say that the two episodes left an impact on me with the murder.
I think one word that describes the two episodes is questions~ The two episodes are based on leaving questions on characters and situations that the audience would want to find out about. I would certainly love to know why Dong Bae died or the the person that killed him. Or who sent the secret letter to Sung Gyeom and if that has anything to do with the murder. Then there’s also Gyung Hee who cried alone in the hotel office at night. All those questions are enough to make me anticipate the next episode. It’s a good tactic but I’d rather not having that many questions at once as the two episodes did confuse me a bit with the amount of situations.
Another thing is the time lapse, I used to love it in kdramas but now it just frustrates me with the drama not moving forward. I’m definitely going to watch the next two episodes because I really enjoyed watching this weeks episode. Hopefully it will be consistently good until the ending~ Though I know that there is a change in the writer from episode 5 and on because the former writer died.
Thank you for reading and see you soon! I’m really excited for this drama because I have a feeling that I will be able to do a theory post on the murder. I’ve been watching detective Conan since I was in first class so I trust that the reasoning skills I learned from that won’t fail me! I don’t have any ideas yet but I feel that The General Manager is a bit suspicious. Tell me in the comments who you think is suspicious!~
I haven’t been able to post anything for the past week because I got my very first part-time job! I’m so delighted with myself but I feel that I should’ve post more so here I am! I want to continue with the debut songs of this year so I’m kinda working my way back~ This week’s Kpop Debut Dimanche is Four Ladies’ Move. I have seen their teaser that was garnering attention for its lesbian themed music video but I never got around to see to actually video and now I’m watching the video for the first time~
Song…….I can tell if the song is not that special or if it’s because of the music video that drew all of its attention away. I don’t particularly any tune that is catchy the first time I heard it (which is rare because even for songs that are meh for me, I still remember a part that is catchy, eg. Red Velvet’s Happiness and its lalalalala’s). This is not really the kind of debut song that I like but it’s not bad. That is the problem though. In the competitive world of kpop, this debut that doesn’t leave a strong impression wouldn’t stand a chance.
Music Video…….This music video shocked me with its extreme content. Like their agency said, what we saw in the teasers are only “tip of the iceberg”. I still prefer the fun side of kpop rather than this half porn business. I know, I said it. It just really turns me off when I see these kind of video. You can tell me to shut it and not watch it if you want (trust me I wouldn’t want to). I’m not talking bad about the group because I think it’s actually the agency’s fault for choosing a concept like this. From the official statement when they said that it was only the “tip of the iceberg”, I could kinda tell that they were anticipating our reaction. Anyway, since it’s already out, I would love to know what the whole music video is about. From my observation, it seems like the two girls that were in love met in a bar. Then somehow they must have fallen in love with each other and started making out (like in the teaser). I get that much but then one of the girls was in tears with runny make-up but the time was reversed and it looked like her eye sucked in the tears and make-up (I think this type of scene is overused in the kpop videos now so that made me giggle~) I want more of the story and less of the dancing in this video.
I’m not really impressed with this debut but somehow I want to see what their next concept is (probably because of the lesbian themed video they chose). I won’t say I like them for now but I’ll definitely look out for their next song. I hope people don’t bash them because of the concept chosen~ Lastly I think a good idea would be to just listen to the song without watching the video, there are some parts that will grow on you. Well, just to let you know, if you have the safety mode on google, you won’t be able to see the official video released by the entertainment company because it’s not “safe” for my age which is 16. That’s probably the best description~ That’s it for now, thank you for reading and I’ll see you soon^^
