My Opinion on Two Weeks Episode 9 and 10~

Title: Two Weeks

Main Cast

  • Park Ha Sun as Seo In Hye
  • Kim So Yun as Park Jae Kyung (prosecutor)
  • Jo Jung Eun as young Jae Kyung
  • Ryu Soo Young as Im Seung Woo (detective)

My Thoughts:

Hey guys~ It’s been so long and I’m back with another one of “My Opinion”. If you have been following, you’d probably know that I stopped this a while back because I was hoping to focus on my studies since this drama is full of cliffhangers. Then I started God’s Quiz because I thought it was easier to stop since I thought there would be no cliffhangers and as you can tell from my God’s Quiz posts, I’m completely hooked. Anyway, I thought since I can’t stop watching dramas I might as well finish Two Weeks that I was so keen on. The reason I’m telling you this is because I don’t want you to misunderstand that Two Weeks is a meh since I stopped in the middle of watching it.

Okay, on to the actual post~ Like I mentioned in the last Two Weeks post, I knew Jae Kyung would be in trouble if she didn’t report the kidnapping incident. Tae San was even waiting for her to arrest President Moon to tell her all about his difficulties but Tae San couldn’t trust her because she didn’t report it! Arghh!! It’s just so frustrating>:(Thank God Seung Woo helped her create an alibi or else she would really be taken off the case completely. Have I mention how much I hate her? That ungrateful girl, she wouldn’t even tell Seung Woo about Tae San’s situation. Just Wae!!! That’s why I said I wanted Soo Ha to be here. Sor he could use his super hearing powers to solve everything that could’ve been solved if people TALK!

I’m glad there is at least one person who is smart though and that is Tae San. He reported a false claim telling the cops that he is at a jimjilbang and what does he do when the cops are being sent away to the jimjilbang? He goes back to him own house THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR to fill up his supplies of food and clothes LIKE A BOSS. Genius…….What more can I say? He even took a shower there. (oohhh yeah~ sexy shower scene……AGAIN!:D)I know you might think it’s risky but I’d say that his house is actually the safest place in his situation. In the end Jae Kyung Found out about the false report filed by Tae San but of course it is too late! Tae San was gone. I do have to admit that even though Jae Kyung can be an idiot sometimes, she is the smartest one out of the police unit.

Then we have Tae San showing off his brain again when he set a trap for the police. Seriously, this dude is amazing! I wonder why he was a crappy pawnshop manager when he could be in charge of a military or something with his unreal strategies. The only “down side” to his plan is that Seung Woo found out about Tae San being the bone-marrow donor. Well, at least he knows he wouldn’t be shot by Seung Woo now…..but clearly Seung Woo still doesn’t believe Tae San as he wanted to chase Tae San when he saw him at the hospital. On the bright side, In Hye stopped Seung Woo and this shows that she still cares for Tae San. Also, now that Seung Woo saw how protective In Hye is of Tae San, he sees Tae San’s case in a new light and started to investigate. He eventually came to the conclusion that Tae San is framed.(Good on you, Seung Woo! It literally took you more than half of the drama to figure out the truth… can you be one of the top detectives in the area?) Haha……whenever there’s something “bad” , it seems like the writer is humane enough to give us something “good” in that situation.

Su Jin is cute as ever with her mountain/sun story. She continues, saying that after the sun left the mountain, his world became all cold and dark so no birds would come and no flowers would bloom. But since the mountain couldn’t move, he is just stuck in one place. This then brings us to In Hye finding out about the truth-the real reason why Tae San left her. She had a mental breakdown and if I was her, I would too. I might also feel murderous since after all, President Moon did break up my otherwise very normal but happy family.

Finally! At the end, Tae San got his camera and everything is just going well for him. I wonder what will happen now. How will he see the videos since Jae Kyung locked it and what will he do with it? I guess i have to watch the next episode to know:P What do you guys think of this episode? Tell me in the comments below^^ Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy my posts:)

God’s Quiz Episode 2: The Lost City of Idols~

More God’s Quiz episodes! Great! I might as well just fail my exams:P I wanted to stop after this episode to study but it seems to have a bigger plot coming already and there is literally something wrong with Jin Woo so I just couldn’t resist finding out in the next episode. Well, seems like there’ll probably be more “My Opinions” coming~ Aiish! I was really going to watch just one more episode after the “First Impression”……….Damn you dramaland and your irresistible dramas!

Anyway let’s move on to this episode. I just love when there is a title for each episode of a drama because I can actually get a sense of where I am going and what will be in the drama. This episode, as the title suggests, is about idols and the reality behind all that fame and fortune they receive. Since I am kinda a kpop blogger as well, I might as well talk about the issues within the kpop industry here (don’t worry, I’ll keep it short!). Well I don’t really know if the kpop entertainment world is exactly like what is in this episode of the drama but I’m pretty sure a lot of related issues exist~

First Issue: At first when the Gina died, I seriously thought she died because of malnutrition and over-working or something which is common in the kpop scene ad we all see that there are often articles about kpop idols and their diets. The only problem is that they are eating as little as only sweet potatoes each day but they are still working their asses off at the same time. Even though the cause of Gina’s death was starvation or anything like that but I feel this is a serious enough topic to be discussing since we all know that someone is bound to end up dying if we don’t do something about the crazy diets.

Second Issue: The second issue is sexual harassment within the kpop industry. Of course we know that this is not only in Korea but also many parts of the world but that doesn’t make this any less okay. I still remember a scandal involving the trainees and the president of an entertainment company last year or the year before and the police were also involved. This is definitely intolerable as well.

In the drama Gina died of her Guillain-Barre Syndrome but her death was triggered only because of the vaccine which was instructed by the president of the her company to be given to her even though he knew that it would kill her. Now to be honest, I was furious at the president but I have to say that Gina wasn’t the brightest either. I didn’t like the way she black-mailed him and it was just wrong. I do appreciate that she is striving to achieve her own dream but I guess she was too impatient and desperate that she chose the wrong method which took her life.

I am seriously loving this drama and the end bits with Jin Woo and the Professor which provides me with the “life lesson of the day”. I don’t agree with what the Professor said on this episode though. The Professor said that people should be less greedy and more giving as they age but I don’t think so. Greed never goes away so it is really just about what you want and what you value.

For example, for a 4 year-old, he/she would much prefer sweets or toys over money because that is what they most desire for their age. For us, the drama-addicts and the Kpoppers, what we want are concert tickets, albums and O.S.T.’s while adults value money more. As people grow old, most of them have already had most of the things they wanted in their early years and so what they want is then families and friends.

So what do you guys think of the Kpop industry while we’re at it? Comment and tell me your thought below! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy it^^

First Impression on God’s Quiz Episode 1: Dracula’s Tragedy…….

Now as some of you know, I’m currently busy studying for my state exams but being a complete drama-addict that I am, I couldn’t resist watching at least some bit of a drama. So I decided to go with God’s Quiz since I have heard multiple positive reviews and it’s about medicine/ crime which I have a soft spot for. More importantly, since it is the crime type of drama, it is natural that it has a one-episode mini story within the drama which is perfect for me because I always know I can stop after each episode without any dramatic cliffhangers.

As the title suggested, this episode is tragic and it will get you to bawl before you know (or at least me). At the start of the episode , a man with pale skin and fangs was running away from someone in a forest when he ran off the end of the mountains and fell on his back on the edges of large boulders. He was in pain but he was still trying to escape and of course he couldn’t and died. From the start I was already sensing something different about this drama. It reminded be of Vampire Prosecutor but of course vampires/ Dracula (aren’t they the same thing!?) can’t die from just this type of injury so I knew it wasn’t a fantasy drama. This caught my attention because the ahjussi that died (I”m just gonna call him Dracula from now on~) clearly was afraid of the sun and he was in pain when exposed to it which is what a Dracula is like. Then straight away it caught my attention.

After that was the appearance of the main character, Han Jin Woo who is considered a genius in the areas of the medical field. He was somehow conned by his professor to be on the special investigation team with Kang Kyung Hee, a female detective and an elite team of autopsist, researcher and doctors. What I like about Jin Woo is that he is very frivolous and carefree. It is such a depressing job and everyone seems to look too dead and serious so it is not a bad idea to have Jin Woo there to lighten the mood. I mean when is the last time you see a genius in dramaland that is this cheerful and hyper? As you can see by now, I am already biased with the drama and the characters~ whenever I like someone or something I just google the hell out of it and since Ryu Deok-Hwan, the actor that plays Han Jin Woo looks very familiar to me, you can imagine what my google search engine is full of~ so that’s when it hits me!- the fact that he is the Goryeo King in Faith~ I was so surprised because of the contrast between the two characters he played. I just couldn’t believe why I didn’t recognize him! So my point is, he can act very well~

Anyway, enough with my ramblings~ and I’m just gonna skip to end bit where the truth is revealed since there is really nothing to talk about in the investigation part~ Okay, breathe with me because you might not be able to hold your anger! *inhale+exhale* So it turns out the Dracula ahjussi is diagnosed with a rare disease called Porphyria. This disease is the reason why he has pale skin and why his skin burns when he is in the sun. He is a warm-hearted ahjussi and he takes care of an isolated village girl who lives with her abusive uncle. He promised to stay with the village girl together so he refused to sell his house to developers. This gets the head of the village and his gang mad and they are the people who are chasing Dracula ahjussi at the start. *Grabs the back of my neck like angry ahjummas* Words cannot describe how angry I felt when I found out the truth. I was appalled and disgusted by the villagers who only thinks about money and nothing else. I think dramas that this is are very good at conveying these type of message to viewers and it is one of the reasons why I love this show so much already. I just hope this doesn’t happen in real life because I seriously can’t imagine living on the same planet as that person. I just really hate it when there is injustice in the world ! I know hate is a strong word but I feel like this is the word that can actually get the message across.

Have you seen this drama and what do you think of it? I know it is too early to say this but I still think this drama is a rare gem and I think you guys should check it out. I am sorry for not writing much post lately and I hope you enjoy the ones I’ve been posting^^

EXO fans = Overdosed~

As we all know, SM Entertainment released the overdose MV yesterday and despite the fact that it swept multiple charts, a lot of EXO fans that I know are getting sick of the song already. I know it is not EXO’s fault but like others, I am a bit suspicious with the leaked practice video. Now, with me being a pretty hard-core EXO fan, the song is still up on my playlist but what about you guys. I guess I just don’t feel as excited as I thought I would be which kinda makes me guilty as an EXO fan. I think SM seriously need to stop with all the teasers and prologues because as much as I like looking at them and feeling their hotness, I want to hear the song too. Anyway, I’m done with my rant and let’s move on to the real deal.

Do I even need to say how much I like this song? It’s still stuck in my head after two weeks (I know~ I just can’t resist leaked videos, please don’t judge me:P). My favourite part is the bit leading to the chorus “oh~ she wants me, oh~ she’s got me, oh~ she hurts me”. I don’t know but it just seems to make so much sense to me and it pretty much sums up the relationships people have a lot of the time.

From the lyrics, “I taste you and drink you. My heart trembles, I keep drinking you in but it’s not enough yet. This thirst sends shivers even to my fingertips, hold onto that moment”. I think we’d all agree that EXO is still in their wolf-y state. Seriously SM what’s with you and taste and drink. I think the lyricist composed the song when he/she is still hungry…….on the serious note, I think it really makes sense from Wolf to Growl and now this. I think I am seeing a pattern here~

So enough with Overdose since they have already gotten a lot of attention. On to the other songs on their album~ First of all, Moonlight is a beautiful song that is my favourite song on the album. The lyrics kinda reminds me of 200% which are both about a guy telling his crush to leave the guy she is currently dating because he doesn’t care about her.

Then we have then which I have to say I’m really impressed with especially the lyrics. The comparison between how thunder is always a step later than lightning is so accurately and now the thunder and lightning seems like a sad love story to me. I’m seriously in love with D.O and Baekhyun’s voice here! Thunder Thunder Thunder!!!

Ayo~Ayo~Run!!! This song is the happy song of the album but it is too serious in my opinion. I still like the song and the ayo parts though~

Love, Love, Love~ Okay, I really have to talk about the intro! I’m addicted to it! You know that string instrument that is playing at the start? Yea~ that’s thepart I love. My friend thinks it’s played by gayageum but I’m convinced that it’s a harp playing. And am I the only the one who thinks that the bit before the whole “earth, air, water, fire” thing kinda sounds like a kid in kinder-garden doing the nanananana~nanananana~ to mock someone?

(They are Overdosed! It’s REAL!!!)

I think the album in general is decent but I personally prefer the Growl album. I just feel that there are more of a variety of songs in the Growl album where as in this album it’s pretty gloomy. I ordered the album so when I get it I will show you the Overdose album and my Akdong Musician PLAY album in another post:D

What do you guys think of the Overdose album? Did the leaked video affect your excitement of this new album or did you not even see the leaked video at all unlike me? Tell me in the comments below^^ thank you for reading my post and I hope you like it:D
