Episode 3:
Again, Pao is trying to tell Sheung Sheung that they are both from the future and he knows that she is his fiancee because her eyes have different colors when they reflect lights. Sheung Sheung has a knife by Pao’s neck and he tells her to calm down since “weapons don’t have eyes”. The turtle climbs on Pao’s shoulder (how is that possible?) but Pao accidentally drops it. In the struggle of trying to get the knife and to get the turtle, Sheung Sheung slips and falls into the river.
In order to save Sheung Sheung since she drowned, Pao unties her clothes and performs CPR.( seriously who does CPR on the stomach? you’re suppose to do it at where her heart is so her heart can pump blood again! I loved so hard when I saw that. ) She gains consciousness and when she sees that her clothes are undressed, she slaps Pao , calling him a pervert.PAo names the turtle “Dong Gwai”
Pao doesn’t want to live anymore since Sheung Sheung doesn’t remember him. He decides to take a chance and jump off the highest building of the city to see if he can travel back to the future. Fortunately, Adviser Gongsun and Chin Chiu arrives on time to save him.
Adviser comforts Pao as he tells him what happened at his “date” with Sheung Sheung. Adviser Gongsun then starts quoting some kind of ancient Chinese Literature that I don’t know but I get the general gist of it. He tells Pao that since he can’t go back to his era, he should just try his best to be a magistrate here. Pao then says he misses his fiancee so much but Adviser thinks that a lot of people are away from their family and that he now thinks of every one in the magistrate office as his family. Adviser tells him that that is nothing to be suiciding for.
Sheung Sheung and Ko Kai On and other servants are honoring Kai On’s ancestors by offering incense. Oh~ so Sheung Sheung is an adopted sister of Kai On’s……..Sheung Sheung thanks them for taking her in and for getting her a job from the Emperor of China.
Pao joins the Emperor at tea. The Prince won’t take his medicine and Pao gives the Prince a riddle and he says that he won’t give the answer to him unless he drinks his medicine so the Prince does. The Emperor comments on how Pao isn’t as serious anymore and that it is nice to see the change. For those of you who want to know, the joke is ” A Long Time ago, there are three prawns. What is the name of the three prawns? ” Answer= ” Ha Ha Ha” *In Cantonese Prawn is Ha so three prawns is hahaha. Hahaha also means laughing out loud.*
A Eunuch drowns and Pao performs CPR on him. He explains to everyone how the CPR works. Sheung Sheung hears him and realises that she has misunderstood him.
Pao is mixing grape with vinegar and he intends to make it for Sheung Sheung. Kai On arrives at Sheung Sheung’s study room and asks if she likes the grapes he brought her. Sheung Sheung doesn’t even remember about it and the grapes is rotten. So our guy Kai On here is obviously in love with Sheung Sheung but Sheung Sheung doesn’t care for all she knows. hahaha…..poor guy:P
Pao brings the drink he made to Sheung Sheung. He explains that it’s good for her because it can decrease blood sugar level, fat in blood and cholesterol . It also strengthens the immune system. He tells her to drink another cup as it also relieves fatigue. He wonders why she is so busy these days and Sheung Sheung explains that the Princess hurt her back and can’t sleep so she needs to find a cure for her. Pao tells her to leave the problem to him and tells her to go to rest.
Pao brings Sheung Sheung a spring mattress as a solution for the Princess’ back problem. Sheung Sheung sits on it and is surprised to find it so soft and comfortable. There is an awkward moment when the two of them lie on the bed and their eyes meet. Keke…so cute>~<. Sheung Sheung wants to know how it is made and Pao explains it to her. Sheung Sheung’s impression of Pao slowly changes.
The Prince is playing the kite with the eunuchs and they notice a cloud of smoke in the sky that is in the shape of a dragon. The Emperor isn’t sure if it is good or bad so he asks his subjects. One side thinks that it is highly suspicious but Kai On side reassured the Emperor saying that the color is lucky and the dragon form represents royalty. Pao , however, thinks that it is not natural to have smoke like that so he offers to investigate it. As well as investigating the smoke, he has to research the “natural” happenings that occurred around the area. Pao requests for Sheung Sheung to investigate along with him because she’s a professor.
Pao and Sheung Sheung interrogates the maids and eunuchs. They end up at the source of the smoke which is a abandoned chimney. They gather the ashes from there and try to see if it involves the case.
The Princess is delighted with the spring mattress and Sheung Sheung tells her that the credit belongs to Pao as he is the one who made it. The Princess wonders if his eccentric personality is the reason why he can come up with the weird but useful things. Sheung Sheung defends him and says that the reason he is like that is because he just lost his fiancee so he is mentally not recovered. Haha…..well at least she doesn’t think he is really a pervert or something.
Meteorite showers in nearby town so Pao and Sheung Sheung goes to find out the details. This time the Princess decides to tag along so Chin Chiu is also here to guard her. The meteorites they find is engraved with some kind of chinese symbols and together they for the word Song which is the Surname of the current Emperor. However, a piece (the character “moon”) is missing so they set out to find it. The Princess sprains her ankle so Chin Chiu stays with her while Pao and Sheung Sheung goes to explore more meteorites.
Pao and Sheung Sheung is lost and they can’t find their way back to the village. Sheung Sheung has the compass fish but Pao drinks the last sip of water not knowing that water is needed to work the compass fish. They decide to stay at a cave for the night. Dong Gwai somehow slips into Pao’s luggage and he finds a water source for them.
Pao and Sheung Sheung somehow gets back and they meet up with the Princess and Chin Chiu. Then they head to another village where there is a rumor that a villager is saved by a person who can walk on water. They confirm it and it seems that the person has a birth mark that is the character for “moon”. They now wonder if it is a person they’re looking for, not meteorite.
Pao reports him investigation to the Emperor and he is ordered to find the person with the “moon” birth mark. Pao doesn’t have a clue where he is. Kai On suggests a theory and thinks that the next incident will be in the east and it will have something to so with fire.
Pao and his guards arrives at the village and finds the “moon” guy. The villagers reports a fire and the “moon” guy escapes. It turns out he is going to save a little girl. By the time Pao arrives, the “moon” guy is trapped in the house that is on fire. Pao puts out the fire but the “moon” guy is already gone.
The Prince is playing in the garden in the palace but suddenly he drops down and he is dead. Pao and Sheung Sheung is testing all the food the Prince had eaten for poison with a silver needle but there is no clue.
They find out that the Prince is allergic to peanuts so then they start testing for peanut in food. IT turns out that the food that contains peanuts are the mochi .
